About me :
Being at the interface between biology and engineering is amazing, dealing with a live challenge! I am interested in learning and using mechanics, biology, mathematics, and physics to describe and deal with the natural world. In this regard, I enjoy both computational science and experimental effort. More specifically, my interests include: Biomechanics and Mechanobiology; Cell Mechanics; Biomimetics; Biomedical Micro-Robots/Devices; Computational Biology; Bio-Inspired Design and Technologies.
I received my bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from the Isfahan University of Technology (IUT) in 2013. My undergraduate thesis was on computational modeling of the biomechanics of the bone around oral implants. I did research on dental and orthopedic implants, their geometry design, bone quality, and osseointegration, under supervision of Dr. Mahmoud Kadkhodaei. Although I had the experience of doing research on flight and aerodynamics in a reading group as well as on underwater vehicles in a student research group, I found myself fascinated in biomechanics and biomedical engineering. Thus I tried to step into the field gradually. Since then, I have done research in biomechanics, prosthetics, periodontology, rehabilitation, and cell mechanics. Those excited me and brought me to look forward for more.
As in my whole life, during my undergraduate years, I tried to do my best. Along with some other honors and awards, I was proud of being distinguished as The Outstanding Student of The Year in IUT for two consecutive years (2012 and 2013) which is the most prestigious award in IUT and I am the first student who has received the award twice. I was then one of only 149 students nationally who were shortlisted for the National Student of the Year award although there were only a handful of undergraduate students among the nominees as well.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you think either I can help you in a case or we can have a research collaboration. I have always been interested in new challenges. I regularly check my emailbox and it is my email address: a.mosavar [at] me.iut.ac [dot] ir
